The house plan hunt is always an exciting time. Looking at gorgeous homes, playing with the filters on your favorite house plan site to see all of the styles and sizes, and trying to picture yourself in the home to determine which will be the best fit for you and your family. Narrowing down all of the options can definitely be a challenge. That is why we decided to compile a list of some of our favorite house plans that were top contenders in Cheyenne’s house plan search.

Plan 710193BTZ Modern Farmhouse Plan with Second Floor Teen Suite from Architectural Designs
This was our top choice and actually the house plan that we originally purchased. An intricate roof system ended up making this house plan simply out of our budget. So, we did end up choosing a different plan, but we just loved the look and flow of this classic farmhouse.
This house has 3,136 square feet, four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and a three car garage. We loved that the back porch had an outdoor kitchen and the loft upstairs was a big selling point for us.
House Plan 14683RK 4-Bed New American Farmhouse Plan with First-Floor Master from Architectural Designs
We loved this one! House plan 17683RK is extremely similar to the house plan we ended up choosing. It was created by the same designer as ours and the layout is very similar. It has 2,913 square feet of finished space, the potential for four to five bedrooms, four and a half baths and a three car garage. The master suite has his and hers closets and has doors to the back porch in the bedroom.
My favorite part of this house plan was that it had a two-story great room. The second floor also connects to an unfinished loft area above the garage.
The Blarney House Plan # W-GOO-1424
The Blarney house plan is a stunning two-story farmhouse with 3,102 square feet, four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a three car garage. We loved this plan because of its two-story great room, the staircase, master bedroom, back porch, as well as the beautiful exterior.
House Plan 54-378
This beautiful house plan boasts 3,314 square feet of space, five bedrooms, four and a half baths, and a two car garage. This was one of the largest plans we looked at. Though we would have adjusted the plan to remove the walkout basement, we loved the back patio with a vaulted ceiling and the side porch that connected the front porch to the back. This house also has a very spacious master suite on the second floor.
House Plan 710047BTZ Classic 4-Bed Low Country House Plan with Timeless Appeal
This Low Country house plan was one of Cheyenne’s husband, Kyle’s favorite plans. This house has 2,993 square feet, with four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and a three car garage. We fell in love with this house following the @ivory.lace.farmhouse on Instagram. The porches on this house are so spacious, it has an open concept layout on the first floor, the great room has a fireplace with built-in on either side, and the master suite has a great walk-in closet.
House Plan 46359LA Modern Farmhouse Plan with Ample Outdoor Living Space
This beautiful farmhouse has 3,163 square feet of finished space, four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a two car garage. The exterior of this house is stunning and we loved both the back porch and back deck. The living room is open to the second floor loft above and there is a great space for an office on the second floor.
Plan 14667RK Modern-Meets-Farmhouse with Optional Rear Garage Door to Outdoor Living
This modern farmhouse has 3,011 square feet of finished space, four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a three car garage. We loved the windows on this house.The back porch even has a bar with a window that opens to connect to a breakfast bar in the kitchen.
Savannah House Plan
The Savannah house plan has 2,997 square feet of finished space, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a three car garage. This house plan was in our top four plans because of its incredible layout. It had a master suite on the first floor, a large pantry off of the kitchen, a loft on the second floor, and a great room that is open to the second floor. This house has a symmetrical exterior from the front which gave it great curb appeal. The only reason we ended up choosing another plan was that we decided not to go with a two-story great room.
